11th September Poynton OpenMic – Guest Poet is Helen Kay (Poultry Lovers Guide to Poetry)
I don’t have any hen poems, although I do have one called ‘Game Bird in Autumn’ which I shall read, and my latest, on this National Poetry Month theme of Freedom.
Hosted by local writer, Margaret Holbrook, the events take place on the second Monday of every month at the charming
UBAgenes in Poynton – the food and drink is as fresh and classy as the decor, by the way. Apart from the guest writers, everyone is invited to read from their own work or favourite authors and poets, or sit back and be entertained by the others. 7.30 p.m – 9.30 pm.
