Following the very entertaining, successful Spoken Word Cabaret, (thanks to the organisers, great artists and gorgeous audience) poets who have poems displayed on the Poetry Trail (including Yours Truly) will gather to read their poems from the trail as well as some additional works.

Excited to be part of the fabulous Festival Fringe launch night, brought to you by New Mills Festival and Write and Release Poetry. This is a not-to-be-missed night of brilliant spoken word performances featuring authors from High Peak, Greater Manchester, and beyond.

Whaley Water Weekend 2016

I’m delighted to be taking part in this next weekend for the first time. This wonderful music and arts festival has been going on for 15 years.

Fellow author Margaret Holbrook and I will be found in the historic Transhipment Warehouse 1.30 -2. 30 pm, Saturday and Sunday afternoons, with other writers and bookstalls.

We’ll be reading extracts from our novels and Margaret from her poetry collections. Looking forward to meeting and having a chat with you. Also we’ll have some books on sale.

 Tomorrow, come and share readings, or just to listen, about the inspiring  month of May. I’ll be reading a scene from my fourth novel (which I’m currently editing- bit of a slog – hoping to launch this summer!)

If you are starting out or are a seasoned performer, come along and read your own work, or those of other writers, in a very encouraging atmosphere. Bring something on the theme of May, or any work of your own choice. Ideas and suggestions around the month of May included: Merry Month of May, Maypole, May Day, May Flower, Whit Walks and Brass Bands. All welcome!
